La iniciativa surgió en Westbury-sub-mendit, transformando la cabina en una biblioteca pública abierta 24 horas.
A día de hoy, 770 pueblos hicieron solicitud a la empresa y hay todo tipo de Segundas Vidas para las cabinas, desde baño público a instalaciones artísticas o una ducha para después de un paseo en bici.
Una cabina = 100 libros
“It’s really taken off. The books are constantly changing,” said parish councillor Bob Dolby.
He added: “It is completely full at the moment with books. Anyone is free to come and take a book and leave one that you have already read.
“This facility has turned a piece of street furniture into a community service in constant use.”
